Barclays Capital actively trades the UK, US, French, German, Dutch, Belgian, Spanish and Nordic power markets and the UK, US and Belgian gas markets.

We are a member of the NYMEX, EEX, Powernext, APX and Nordpool exchanges and conducts OTC and cleared transactions. We are also one of the largest players in the European power and gas markets and an active trader on exchanges across Europe in both exchange traded and OTC products.

Given the interaction between the oil, gas, coal, emissions and power markets we have uniquely strong cross commodity capabilities based on our trading presence in all related markets. We trade the majority of gas locations financially and are rolling out physical trading across the majority of gas and power markets in the US. Our trading position, in-depth market knowledge and strong credit rating allow us to structure long-dated and complex risk management solutions in a difficult market place.
